Staff
Diana Hewett is an experienced gallery director with over 30 years of experience in the gallery business. Importantly she is considered an expert on the work of Joseph Kinnebrew and was instrumental in formulating the original idea for Tau Fine Art. She has a long history of effective management skills, innovation and problem solving.
Siri Struble is a lawyer and presently administrator of TFA business affairs. In addition she is the Managing Director of Kinnebrew Studios LLC.
And there are others who, working in a virtual art gallery, contribute skills in photography, web management, art preservation, promotion and discussions with other dealers and galleries. Special thanks is given to our IT person Mark Jacobson for without him we would still be in the thinking stages and Steve Kaufmann our ever watchful CPA.
An original idea. Early in 2018 a unique idea began to take shape. It was a concept, a new way to use, present and promote visual art. It started with Joseph Kinnebrew, an internationally recognized artist who in 2004 and Joseph stepped back from the art world, into a reclusive world of creativity to become an author.
Now over 80 and expanding his writing interestes he continues to mentor people and create art now largely for himself. He has largly distanced himself from the demanding and formalized art world.
For many years he lived alone on the remote ocean coast of Washington state. More recently he and Siri Struble, a retired attorney, work together where she oversees Kinnebrew Studios diverse projects. This has given him time to complete projects on a list that seems endless.
Kinnebrew remains a warrior, one who has fought many battles for the recognition of fine art in our communities, states, nation, and elsewhere in the world. Having completed numerous well-known public sculptures he has served on committees, writen, lectured, routinely opined, and received prestigious awards. This artist with many interests continues to be a force for change, repeating his mantra of sharing and connecting others, an uncommon man who has been the subject of studies investigating the gifts of exceptional people. Researchers in fields of exceptionalism refer to him as an authentic autodidact polymath with interests ranging far beyond the arts. He refers to himself simply as a POC (Person of Curiosity).
… and so the mission of TFA is to inspire and do more than sell art, we talk about it, write about it, and discuss it with others far beyond the walls of a conventional gallery.
